Joe Biden, 79, made yet another blunder on the midterm campaign trail after he claimed there were 54 states in the United States. The 46th President made the gaffe during a speech at a Democrat campaign event in Pennsylvania.
He was recalling how Republicans had pledged to overturn Obamacare, which came in under the Affordable Care Act, during midterm elections held in 2018.
Mr Biden said: “And, of course, they’re going to try for the 499th time, or whatever the number is.
“They’re still determined to eliminate the Affordable Care Act.
“And, by the way, if they do that means, not a joke everybody, that’s why we defeated it in 2018 when they tried to do it. We went to 54 states.

Despite Mr Biden’s claim, there are just 50 states in the USA.
Americans took to social media to slam the POTUS for his blunder.
Lauren Boebert, a Republican Congresswoman, said: “I guess if you count the states of denial, confusion, delusion and disaster that his Regime has caused he just might be on to something.”
Sebastian Gorka, who served as Deputy Assistant to ex-President Donald Trump, added: “Joe Biden is so dumb and senile.”

The 44th President told a rally in Michigan: “I’ve been reading up on some of these candidates on the other side. Lord, have mercy.
“They have promised, if they get control of Congress, they’ll spend the next two years investigating their political opponents, including Joe Biden. Some of them said they’ll impeach Joe Biden.”
