A Utah bicyclist has died after being run over three times by the same clueless driver — and now prosecutors are weighing filing charges, authorities said.

Warren Yoshio Watanabe, 62, was riding on the sidewalk when a 77-year-old woman pulling out of the parking lot at Warren’s Family Restaurant in Roy struck him on Sept. 20, the Standard-Examiner reported.

The woman then backed up and paused before driving forward and hitting him again, authorities said.

Police said she then put the vehicle in reverse yet another time before driving forward and running over Warren, who was lying on the ground directly in front of the vehicle, news station KSL-TV reported.

She repeated the maneuver one more time before she noticed the cyclist on the ground and called 911, the outlet reported.

Watanabe was taken to the hospital with 14 broken ribs as well as severe kidney and liver injuries, the outlet reported. He died five days later.

Police said the woman knew she hit something but didn’t realize it was a person and kept trying to maneuver around it.

“There is no indication or any belief that this was anything other than an accident,” Roy Police spokesman Stuart Hackworth told the Standard-Examiner. “She was not aware of what she had hit.”

Authorities said they will meet with Weber County Attorney’s Office to determine whether charges should be filed in the incident.
