The Minnesota teenager who shot the viral video of George Floyd’s police-custody death says her uncle was killed in a police car chase on Tuesday, according to reports.

Darnella Frazier, a witness at the murder trial of ex-cop Derek Chauvin in Floyd’s death, said her uncle, Leneal Lamont Frazier, died after a Minneapolis squad car smashed into his vehicle while chasing a robbery suspect.

“Another black man lost his life in the hands of the police!” she wrote on Facebook. “I asked my mom several times ‘he died??’ I couldn’t accept what I was hearing and still can’t.”

“WHY ARE YOU DOING A HIGH SPEED CHASE ON A RESIDENTIAL RODE [sic]??” Frazier wrote. “You took an innocent life trying to catch someone else… I don’t know how you feel.”

According to police, cops chased the suspect after he fled from a traffic stop in a vehicle believed to be linked to a carjacking, WDTN-TV reported.

Minneapolis police spokesman John Elder told the station that the squad car crashed into two other vehicles around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday — with the suspect fleeing the scene.

Elder said the officer was treated at a local hospital, while another man was taken to North Memorial Health in Robbinsdale and was later pronounced dead.

Police did not identify the dead man, but Frazier said it was her uncle.

Leneal Frazier’s sister, Cheryl Frazier, told WCCO the family doesn’t know all the details, but described her brother as a good man.

“He was a very good person, he would help you if you needed help, he’ll give you the shirt off his back if he had to,” she said. “He was always that type of person.”

A GoFundMe page describes Leneal as “a family oriented person with a good heart.”

He was the father of six children and one grandchild, and the oldest of five siblings, according to the page.

“He loved his family and friends,” the family wrote. “He loves to cook and bbq, and to just spend as much time with his family as possible. He was one of the sweetest people you will ever meet.”

Frazier was 17 on May 25, 2020, when she came upon Floyd’s fatal arrest while taking her 9-year-old cousin to the store in Minneapolis.

Floyd, 46, died after Chauvin pressed his knee to Floyd’s neck for more than nine minutes — with Frazier catching the disturbing incident on video.

Chauvin was found guilty of murder and manslaughter in April and sentenced to 22 1/2 years in prison last month.
