Tyson Fury has called out the current holder of the Central Area heavyweight title, Chris Healey (9-12), as it is the only belt ‘he has never held’.

In a tongue in cheek video uploaded to The Gypsy King’s Instagram story, he said: “Right guys, just been thinking, we’re in the gym just done a mad, mad session Wednesday, I’ve won every single belt in boxing apart from one belt and that belt is the Central Area heavyweight championship of Britain.

“So, I’m calling out whoever is the Central Area heavyweight champion, I’m calling you out because that’s my belt, I want it, I haven’t got it, it’s the only belt that I haven’t won and I want it, I’m coming for whoever you are, come on!”

According to the British Boxing Board of Control’s website, Healey is the current holder of the elusive strap. He won the vacant title in June 2021 in a points victory over Danny Whittaker and has not defended it since.

Fury’s promoter Frank Warren confirmed to Express Sport today that they are still doing everything they can to get the trilogy over the line and that paperwork has not been signed yet.
