Stormzy has reportedly asked a string of A-list celebrities to appear in the music video for his much-anticipated comeback track.

The rapper, 28, is believed to have asked the likes of David Beckham, Gordon Ramsay and Emilia Clarke to get involved with his latest project.  

He also asked Louis Theroux, Jonathan Ross and Lewis Hamilton to star in the video, which he is shooting in London this week, according to The Sun.

‘Stormzy is pulling out all the stops with his new project and he has called everyone he knows to get involved,’ a music insider told the publication.

‘The shoot start­ed yesterday and will be happening all week so fans should keep their eyes peeled. One location is the National Portrait Gallery.’

The insider also claimed the star-studded cast have ‘leapt’ at the opportunity but will have to see if their schedules can align to make the venture work.

The star, whose real name is Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr., recently confirmed that his third studio album will be released later this year.

Last month, he unveiled the exciting news during a live performance in Cardiff, where the message ‘Album 3. Coming 2022’ flashed up on an onstage video projection.

Stormzy has been busy taking to the stage for his much-delayed Heavy is the Head Tour, playing at the O2 arena for the first time in March.

He didn’t disappoint as he gave the home crowd a night to remember during his first time as a headliner at London’s iconic venue.

Featuring crowd-pleasers including Know Me From and Audacity, the performer was typically incendiary on the night and delivered a blistering performance that was two years in the making. 

A giant crowd hovered over the stage throughout, as the one of the UK’s most celebrated rappers put on a performance of a life time with his kinetic energy.

Stormzy was due to play a massive month-long tour in April 2021 which was shelved because of lockdown restrictions.

The Heavy is the Head Tour was rescheduled to begin in March this year.

It includes three nights at the London O2 Arena as well as two nights in Dublin and other arenas around the UK. 

Revenue in Hashtag Merky Touring is believed to include earnings from the tour as the gigs were due to take place during the year covered by the accounts.

The tour is to back up his best selling 2019 album Heavy is the Head, his second best-selling album release.
