The two pals beamed and shared a hug on the red carpet.

The Thomas Crown Affair star also stopped to pose with his costars Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge and Quintessa Swindle, who play other members of the Justice Society of America.

During an appearance Tuesday on The Tonight Show, Pierce discussed his latest role as Doctor Fate.

‘It was the last thing on my mind to be playing a superhero like Doctor Fate,’ he admitted.

The actor got a laugh from the crowd when he described the experience of wearing his long-running character’s bulky costume.

‘Everyone wants to know what it was like putting on the costume. What was it like putting on the helmet? You can’t see a thing! It’s darkness,’ he said.

He also had kind words for Dwayne, calling him a ‘magnificent fellow.’

‘He’s kind of monolithic and beautiful and owns this role,’ he added.
