Nikki and Chris’ home had become overrun to the extent that super tidy son Sam stays away at university, whilst daughter Lucy doesn’t have any space to have friends round.

Nikki’s relaxation therapy business was also being negatively affected, as the clutter had prevented her from having clients at home.

Meanwhile, her husband Chris also never likes to throw anything away as he has an affinity for making things, resulting in a surplus of junk and botched jobs throughout the house.

Nick was shocked to see all the junk, asking Nikki: ‘How do you work in this?’

‘A lot of it is about clearing your mind, isn’t it? How can you do that when you’re in a place that’s full of clutter?’

The family get to work on sorting through their stuff, and successfully manage to completely empty their home and transfer 195 boxes of their worldly possession to the Albert Halls in Bolton.

Among the clutter is 945 soft toys, 107 family photos and 144 crystals, and they give a lot away to a local hospice and sell surplus personal possessions at a car boot.

After all their hard work, the family are left overjoyed when Nick’s team completely transformed their home.

They reinstated a warm functional conservatory, creating a cosy spacious family lounge, a calming oasis of a master bedroom and a professional clutter free therapy room to allow Nikki to have clients at home.
