Married At First Sight star loses his farm animals after rural property is submerged in water amid Queensland’s severe flooding

Married At First Sight star Mick Gould’s Gympie farm has been hit by Queensland’s severe flooding, according to his MAFS co-star Mike Gunner.

Mike, who starred alongside Mick on the Channel Nine reality show in 2019, posted an Instagram image of Mick’s property under water on Saturday, alongside the caption: ‘Mick Gould’s place was flooded today.’

Gunner then added that his 35-year-old co-star ‘lost quite a few animals also. Send prayers.’

It’s unlikely that Mick will post anything about his devastating loss, as he officially quit Instagram in July last year – despite having a coveted blue verification tick.

The devastating news comes as seven people have lost their lives in the Queensland floods, including one man from Gympie.

Nolan Meats worker Phil Sugg, 37, disappeared in floodwaters while driving along Tin Can Bay Road in Gympie, 150km north of the Queensland capital, about 10pm on Friday night.

Police dive squad officers found his body in flood waters in nearby Goomboorian on Saturday afternoon.

The flooding comes just two years after Gould celebrated a break in the drought on his farm.

In January 2020, the Gympie farmer couldn’t contain his emotions when he burst into a fit of joy when it rained on his farm.

Taking to Instagram, the reality TV star couldn’t wipe the smile off his face as he joyously spoke about the rain while standing next to a partially filled dam.

Clearly in an elated mood, Mick panned the camera over the water: ‘Gold, liquid f**king gold,’ he said.

In a second clip, the farmer showed a water drain emptying into his rainwater tank, with him saying: ‘long bl**dy overdue.’
