His world tour kicked off in America back in February in support of his debut album Walls.

Due to the pandemic, his 2020 tour dates had to be pushed back, first to 2021, and then again to this year.

The former One Direction member is known for looking out for his fans and has previously brought his gigs to a halt due to fans fainting and being dehydrated.

Louis is touring to support his debut LP Walls, which was released shortly before the coronavirus pandemic overwhelmed the globe on January 31, 2020.

The album debuted in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, though it earned mostly middling reviews from critics.

Walls is made up of 12 tracks, including fan favourites Always You, Defenceless and Only The Brave.

The singer soared to fame as one fifth of One Direction – made up of Niall Horan, 28, Liam Payne, 28, Zayn Malik, 29, and Harry Styles, 28, on The X Factor in 2010 – the band has been on a hiatus since 2016 as they all launched solo careers after Zayn quit.

Earlier this year he cancelled his tour shows in Moscow and Kyiv after Russia invaded Ukraine.

He took to Instagram to say his ‘thoughts go out to the people of Ukraine and all those suffering from this needless war’.

Vladimir Putin personally gave the order to attack Ukraine at around 5am on Thursday, unleashing a salvo of rocket fire in order to knock out the country’s military command structure.

Louis penned: ‘Due to the recent events in Ukraine, I have to sadly announce that my tour shows in Moscow and Kyiv are cancelled until further notice.

‘The safety of my fans is my priority and my thoughts go out to the people of Ukraine and all those suffering from this needless war. Louis.’
