US President Joe Biden caused confusion in his first address as the US President on Thursday. President Biden agreed to take questions from the press but began to make mistakes in one of his answers. He started by insisting he was good at getting things done in the US Senate but quickly trailed off and cut his sentence short.
Mr Biden also said he would take one final question but left the podium only to quickly return and say he was leaving.
Mr Biden said: “I am going to say something outrageous.
“I have never been particularly poor at calculating how to get things done in the United States Senate.
“The best way to get something done if you hold it near and dear to your heart… anyway.”

After leaving before
President Biden added: “I am ready to work with any Republican who wants to help solve the problem.
“To make the situation better but folks, I am going.”
The room then erupted in questions from journalists who demanded more time from the President.
