Jesse Williams and ex-wife Aryn Drake-Lee amended their custody agreement of their two children so that he would be able to perform in a Broadway play this summer in New York.

The former Grey’s Anatomy star was reportedly in court last week with his ex where a judge signed off on the modifications designed to best satisfy their already existing order of shared legal custody of Maceo and Sadie.

Jesse and Aryn were married for five years and had reportedly dated for a total of 13 years before ending their relationship in 2017, which then turned into an arduous, three-year separation process with a divorce finalized in October 2020.

TMZ reported ‘the judge denied her request to reduce his physical time with the kids’ and instead gave Jesse ‘four consecutive days with the children’ and two of those days allowed to be on weekends.

Williams will be starring in the Broadway production of Take Me Out from March through June.

The gossip site also reported that Jesse was granted ‘tie-breaking authority’ for 2022 regarding COVID-19 disputes if the former couple can’t agree on ‘vaccinations or face masks for the kids.’

In addition and at her request, ‘the judge agreed the actor can’t cancel and then un-cancel’ scheduled time with his children.

The former couple will meet with the court again to modify the custody agreement once summer is over.

Jesse and Aryn were at one point last year ordered to attend a ‘high conflict’ parenting course after he reportedly ‘failed to modify previous court orders regarding custody and visitation’ of their two children.

The parenting class is a ‘six-session online program, providing strategies for reducing conflicts in co-parenting relationships.’

As part of their divorce, Aryn kept the former family house in LA, along with places in Brooklyn and Oakland.

She will also keep a ‘leased 2017 Audi Q7 SUV and 2018 Q5 SUV, while Jesse gets to keep his leased 2018 Porsche Cayenne SUV.’

Documents revealed the couple must ‘meet and confer with each other about posting images of the kids on social media.’

The docs also said Jesse ‘owes $50,629 per month for the two kids up until October 2019, and then $40k per month after that.’

He’ll be responsible for paying Aryn spousal support of $50,695 for August 2019 and September 2019, but no further payments are required after that.

A judge also declared in October that Jesse could keep $936,810 made in profits since their split in 2017 from his Grey’s gig.

At one point during their contentious divorce, Jesse was paying more than $100,000 in monthly support.

The couple reportedly agreed to the settlement in Sept. 2019, but now it’s official with the judge’s sign off.
