Jeremy Clarkson looked furious in the first clip of Ant and Dec’s fake protest prank for Saturday Night Takeaway on Friday. 

The ex Top Gear host, 61, looked visibly annoyed as he arrived at his Diddly Squat farm to protesters chanting: ‘No more toil, keep your soil’ while holding signs in the hilarious clip shown on This Morning.   

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly both 46, who were dressed in disguise, revealed the presenter looked ‘very unimpressed.’

Jeremy looked confused while saying: ‘The thing about soil is that you can’t hurt it.’   

Dec, who donned a wig, taunted the star with a megaphone by saying: ‘Maybe you should phone a friend.’ 

The Undercover segment then sees Ant, hidden away and watching everything on a screen, laughing as he directs someone to handcuff themselves to Jeremy’s jeep.

Speaking to Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary, the duo admitted Jeremy has been on their ‘hit list’ for a long time, but when the time came they were ‘nervous’ about his reaction.  

Dec laughed: ‘His lovely girlfriend Lisa said come down to the farm and we’ll set him up. He’s got a temper so we were very nervous about it!’   

Elsewhere in the interview, Dec admitted he got ‘choked up’ looking at the audience seats filled for Saturday Night Takeaway, after last year’s show had a virtual gallery due to Covid -19 protocols.

Airing on ITV and the ITV Hub from February 19, the pair will host the popular prime-time show, with a live audience being in the studio once again.

New and exclusive features, live surprises, celebrity guests and outrageous stunts will be a part of the programme, along with regular viewer favourites such as prank segments Undercover and I’m A Celebrity…Get Out Of Me Ear.

Famous names appearing in the new series include The Grand Tour star Jeremy Clarkson and Dancing On Ice judge Oti Mabuse.

A brand new mini-series called Polter Guys, which will see Ant and Dec become ghost busters, will see many celebrities making cameo appearances, including Rob Delaney, Jo Brand, Kadeena Cox, Tom Allen, Fred Siriex and Roman Kemp.

Stephen Mulhern, Fleur East and Andi Peters will also return to put the hosts through high octant Ant vs Dec challenges.
