Current Jeopardy champion Christine Whelchel returned for her fourth game on Monday, but with a much different look.

The 37-year-old piano teacher and church organist from Spring Hill, Tennessee had worn a wig for her first three appearances on the show, but didn’t on Monday.

During a segment where host Ken Jennings chats with all three players, Whelchel revealed why she decided to go sans wig.

Jennings mentioned that fans who watched last week would notice that she looks a bit different on Monday, and asked her to explain why.

‘After the… winnings, I decided that I didn’t need to hide behind a wig anymore and I wanted to normalize what cancer recovery looks like’ Whelchel said.

Jennings said, ‘You look fabulous and congratulations on your recovery’ as the audience applauded before getting back to the game.
