If Friday was any indication about how Jennifer Garner’s 50th birthday weekend is going to go, then she’s in for a treat indeed.
The actress turns 50 on Sunday, but she went out with some friends to kick off celebrating her on Friday afternoon.
And she got at least one surprise that she wasn’t expecting at all.
A pretty great surprise: If Friday was any indication about how Jennifer Garner’s 50th birthday weekend is going to go, then she’s in for a treat indeed
The Daredevil actress shared a video to her Instagram which showed her clearly awestruck as a voice recording from Donny Osmond sang personally to her.
However, that surprise was nothing compared to her shock when Osmond, 64, stood behind her, in the flesh, and began to sing.
She stood up from her seat and hugged him briefly before asking, ‘I’m so hot, can I just take my sweater off?’ before removing her gray knit-sweater.
Surprise! Donny Osmond, Garner’s childhood crush, showed up and spent some time with the star during her birthday weekend
Big smiles: Osmond had a huge smile on his face while Garner seemed genuinely in shock
Way too hot: She stood up from her seat and hugged him briefly before saying, ‘I’m so hot, can I just take my sweater off’ and removing her gray knit-sweater.
Thoughtful cake: Osmond then presented her with a cake that read ’13 Going On 50! Love Donny,’ a reference to her hit film 13 Going On 30

The pair sang a duet of Osmond’s classic song Make The World Go Away, a song he and his sister Marie Osmond originally performed. Garner got really into it, ad-libbing noises and closing her eyes as she sang with the Utah native.
The mother of three shared her enthusiasm in the caption, writing, ‘My first (pre)birthday surprise was a doozy— the one and only, legend in his own time, object of my childhood adoration and devotion— @donnyosmond showed up to knock my purple socks off.
‘He took an hour and a half of his day to sit with me, sing my favorites, and to give me a master class on how to be a class act. Thank you, Donny. Hi, @marieosmond. ☺️ I hope to meet you someday, Debbie. ♥️’

The Alias star first opened up about her infatuation with Osmond back in 2019 on an Instagram post by Katie Couric.
Couric posted a photo of the Osmonds with Cher as they performed in bright jumpsuits and Garner commented, ‘My number one biggest crush of all time @donnyosmond’ with a kissy face emoji.
The Puppy Love singer replied, ‘Miraculous that those jumpsuits didn’t scare you away,’ and they’ve had a few social media interactions since then.
Social media: The pair had mainly interacted over social media after Garner revealed Osmond was a life long crush back in 2019
Big news: Garner’s appearance out came just days after her ex-husband Ben Affleck announced he was engaged to Jennifer Lopez (Lopez and Affleck pictured 2021)
Impressive ring: The pair became engaged on Wednesday, April 6 when he got down on one knee and offered her a diamond ring reportedly worth $10 million
Garner’s birthday bash came less than two weeks after her ex-husband Ben Affleck and his new lady love Jennifer Lopez announced they were engaged.
The pair took the big step on Wednesday, April 6 with Affleck getting down on one knee and offering Lopez a $10 million green diamond ring.
According to insiders, Garner is ‘happy’ for the couple and think Lopez has been a ‘positive influence’ in some aspects of Ben’s life.
