Jackson confirmed in a hurry. Getting on the Supreme Court? That'll take time.

WASHINGTON – For Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, taking a seat on the Supreme Court will be a study in hurry up and wait.

After President Joe Biden’s nominee to the nation’s highest court was confirmed by the Senate Thursday, Jackson will have to sit tight for nearly three months for her spot on the nation’s highest bench to open – an unusually long delay that may have implications for public perceptions of the court, her ascension to it and a number of high-profile cases.
