Illinois house listing includes photos of a creepy man in a Michael Myers mask lurking with a KNIFE

You know it’s a seller’s market when even a house seemingly haunted by a masked mass murderer might be snapped up at any minute.

In Carlinville, Illinois, Danielle Sullivan, 40, and her husband Owen, 53, have listed their four-bedroom, four-bathroom house for $169,000 — but photos appear to feature a terrifying houseguest.

While many of the images look perfectly normal, showing off the 2,750-square-foot home’s best features, a few include a knife-wielding man dressed in all black with a Michael Myers face mask lurking in the background.

The clever listing has quickly gone viral, earning attention on social media from accounts like Zillow Gone Wild — but Danielle promises that despite a cameo from one of Hollywood’s most famous serial killers, the house is actually a warm place that’s perfect for a family.

‘I will say that that house was filled with love. There were no scary things. The house itself does not come with a serial killer,’ she told DailyMail.com.

Danielle says that the house, located on E. Hoehn St., was the first home she and Owen shared as a married couple, and it’s where they raised their kids.

Several years ago, they moved a few blocks away to a house that is, appropriately, on Elm Street — and while Owen was recently fixing up this house to be sold, Danielle had an idea.

She turned to her 16-year-old son, Cole, and said, ‘Why don’t you put on you Michael Myers costume and we’ll go over and scare dad?’

When they got there, Owen was in the basement cleaning the floor when Cole stood at the top of the stairs, leering down.

‘He looked up and there was Cole, just standing there, being creepy,’ she said.

At that moment, Danielle, who is a professional photographer, realized that this might make for funny photos when they listed the house.

‘I just thought, what the heck,’ she said, adding: ‘Anyone who knows me know this listing is typical of my personality.’

Cole was game, agreeing to stand for creepy photos in corners, behind a curtain, and even on the toilet.

Meanwhile, the Sullivans currently embrace all things Halloween at their Elm Street home and dress up as a family for the holiday every October.

‘I’m kind of known around our local area as the queen of Halloween,’ Danielle said.

Every year starting October 1, she turns their house into a monster, with creepy fanged teeth and eyes over the windows.

‘I don’t just love Halloween, I live Halloween,’ she said.

In addition to the monster decorations, the Sullivans also have animatronic characters like Beetlejuice on their lawn, and locals go out of their way to visit her home on Halloween — with 550 trick-or-treaters coming last year alone.

They also do a special scary night, where instead of animatronic characters they have real people in costumes in front of the house, chasing kids around.

‘It’s a whole production,’ she said. ‘My monster house is pretty epic. I’m so proud of that.’
