She recently struggled to contain her emotions while discussing the heartbreaking Ukraine crisis.

But Holly Willoughby was in far better spirits during Wednesday’s This Morning, bursting into hysterical laughter during an interview with comedian Joe Pasquale.

The presenter, 41, couldn’t contain her giggles as Joe confessed that he accidentally wet himself while submerged in a freezing bath during his training for Dancing On Ice in 2014.

During the interview, Joe explained some of the gruelling rituals he endured while preparing to take to the rink, including submerging himself in an ice bath.

He confessed that during one such bath he accidentally wet himself, joking: ‘My muscular area was not tight enough, it was like the red arrows!

‘My prostate is not strong enough anymore, and I had had a Berocca before! You can just imagine it.’

The anecdote left both Holly and her co-host Phillip Schofield in utter hysterics, with the pair struggling to maintain their composure as they resumed the interview.

It comes after Holly broke down in tears during Tuesday’s show as she discussed the escalating crisis in Ukraine.

On Tuesday’s show Julia had just finished her commentating on the fleeing citizens, saying that seeing images of children getting on trains and buses to leave their homes, ‘broke her heart.’ 

The camera then cut back to the studio, where Phil softly said: ‘Let’s just leave it there for the moment shall we, we will be back right after this.’

Holly, sat beside him, had tears running down her face and was unable to look at the camera while she composed herself. 

After the show returned from the break Holly said that she couldn’t help feeling sad over the crisis in Ukraine, telling viewers: ‘It’s very hard not to feel anxious when you look at what is going on in the world, when you read the papers or switch on the TV.’ 

It comes after Holly was moved to tears as she watched footage of a little girl singing inside a bomb shelter in Kyiv on Monday.

The world has been touched by the heartbreaking scenes coming out of Ukraine in recent weeks, with Holly unable to hold back as she was played the video on the show.

As Holly was left in tears she said: ‘Such innocence, isn’t it,’ while Gyles Brandreth added: ‘We’re seeing the worst and the best of humanity in this crisis aren’t we?’

Camilla Tominey then noted: ‘I hadn’t seen that before actually. She’s the age of my youngest daughter. It’s awful.’

An emotional Holly went on, ‘It’s horrible, it’s horrible,’ before Phillip threw to a break.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
