Arsenal could miss out on signing one of their top transfer targets this summer if Barcelona fail to land Erling Haaland. Alexander Isak is reportedly a secondary option for Barca if they cannot convince Haaland to move to the Nou Camp. Isak has been linked with the Gunners since last summer.

Arsenal reignited their interest in Isak in January but Real Sociedad were not willing to negotiate any lower than his £75million release clause.

Haaland’s own release clause becomes active this summer and he looks set to leave Borussia Dortmund.

A host of Europe’s top clubs are interested in signing the Norway sensation.

Manchester City and Manchester United in the Premier League, as well as Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, are likely to be entering the race to sign Haaland.

If Arsenal fail to land Isak they will have to look at alternative options.

Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lille star Jonathan David have both been linked with the Emirates side.
