Dozens of bisexual women have left the internet stunned after they revealed that they all share the same piece of furniture – a green velvet couch – including celebrities like Emily Ratajkowski and Shay Mitchell.

A TikToker, named Tisha, started the hilarious trend last month, when she posted a clip to the streaming site asking if ‘a newsletter’ had been ‘sent out’ to all bisexual people, after she noticed that a lot of them owned green velvet couches.

Her clip soon went viral – gaining more than 256,000 views – and many people who identify as bi started replying with videos showcasing that they do indeed have tree-colored sofas.

‘Serious question. If you identify as bisexual, do you own a green velvet couch?’ Tisha asked in the video, as she showed off her own green velvet couch. ‘Just checking.’

‘Was there a newsletter that got sent out?’ she added in the caption.

Mitchell, 35, then replied to the TikTok with a video of her own, which showed her plopping down on a green couch.

After that, Ratajkowski, 31, posted a clip of herself sitting on a similar looking sofa, while smiling mischievously towards the camera.

Many others around the world also got involved and shared their surprise over the fact that they all had almost-identical sofas.

‘I literally bought this couch because it was cheaper than usual and I liked the color,’ insisted one bisexual woman a clip that showed her sitting on a green velvet couch.

‘We’re making it too easy for them to market to us,’ joked another person.

‘I guess this design choice wasn’t influence by my ADHD after all,’ a different woman wrote in a TikTok video.

Ratajkowski’s alleged announcement about her sexuality comes less than a month after it was reported that she had filed from divorce from her estranged husband, Sebastian Bear-McClard.

The model reportedly made the decision to leave her film producer husband following claims that he had cheated on her; the couple share a son, Sylvester Apollo Bear, one.

As for Mitchell, she’s been dating actor Matte Babel since 2017, and together, they have welcomed two kids together, daughters Atlas, two, and Rome, four months.

The actress, who played LGBTQ character Emily Fields for seven seasons on Pretty Little Liars, previously discussed the similarities between Emily’s sexuality and her own.

‘People always ask me, “You play a gay character? Are you gay? Are you straight? Are you this? Are you that?’” the actress told Maxim in 2017.

‘Look, Emily doesn’t label herself, and I don’t label myself either. I fall in love with the spirit of somebody. Love is love, and that’s something that I’ll keep saying.’
