A single dad who didn’t have enough time to cook homemade meals has become the unlikely founder of a multi-million dollar food subscription service empire.

Billy Green, from Melbourne, tried a selection of meal delivery kits during the city’s first gruelling Covid lockdown in 2020 – but was left unimpressed by the quality.

The 30-year-old believed he could do better and devised a plan work with restaurants to give customers the chance to cook high-quality meals at home.

He launched Make-Out Meals in September 2020 while working full-time from home as a marketing manager. Today the company is worth an estimated $5million.
