Her high-profile, two-and-half-year legal battle with Rebekah Vardy is set to go to trial on Monday.

And keeping busy in the lead-up, Coleen Rooney ran some errands in Manchester on Thursday.

The wife of football legend Wayne, 36, continued to sport a foot brace, which she was first spotted wearing in March.

The mother-of-four has not publicly revealed the nature of her ailment.

Coleen had comfort at the heart of her attire, stepping out in all-black: a jumper, sports leggings and a trainer on her non-injured foot.

She was pictured rummaging through a JAEGER bag, the contents of which she took to a tailoring store in the north-west city.

The errand-running comes after her fellow WAG Rebekah – married to Leicester footballer Jamie – sensationally blamed her agent for leaking stories about Coleen in a dramatic development to the ‘Wagatha Christie’ libel battle, the High Court heard last week.

In documents submitted to the court, Coleen’s legal team claimed Rebekah’s case had ‘collapsed’ after an ‘abrupt change of position to her pleaded case’ following a second statement made by her in which she alleged that her agent and close friend Caroline Watt had leaked stories The Sun.

Rebekah, 40, is suing Coleen for libel after being accused by her of leaking ‘false stories’ about the Rooneys in October 2019.

Coleen claimed to have uncovered the culprit following a social media sting operation and publicly named her fellow WAG, earning the nickname ‘Wagatha Christie.’

As their legal battle raged, it was also argued that Caroline had acted as a ‘conduit’, which she and Rebekah vehemently denied.

The document compiled by Coleen’s lawyers David Sherborne and Ben Hamer, and seen by the Hight Court, states: ‘The collapse of Mrs Vardy’s case over the last day has been remarkable.

‘As of the evening of 27 April 2022, in an abrupt change of position to her pleaded case since the outset, Mrs Vardy appears now to accept Mrs Rooney’s case: that Caroline Watt, Mrs Vardy’s close friend and PR, was the conduit by which stories from the Defendant’s Private Instagram Account were leaked to The Sun through her access via Rebekah Vardy’s account (@beckyvardy).’

It adds: ‘It is only now-over two weeks later and on the eve of trial-that Mrs Vardy has been forced to come clean.’

Elsewhere, Coleen’s husband Wayne recently admitted that he has only one suit that fits him after putting on a ‘little bit of weight’ since his playing days.

And the former striker  – worth a cool £122 million – opted for a rather bizarre fashion hack as he used a shoelaces to keep his trousers from falling down.

The Derby County boss, 36, showed up at his team’s awards do on Wednesday in a pair of formal pants tied unconventionally at the waist.

A fan at the club, relegated to League One, told The Sun: ‘Wayne was in a brilliant mood and spent loads of time with the supporters.

‘But every time he posed for a picture, this thing that looked like a shoelace popped out. It’s probably part of the suit, but did look like it was holding his trousers up.’

The ex-Man United star’s outfit seems to be the one he wore when inducted to the Premier League Hall of fame last month.

Wayne was mocked about his changing shape stature by pal Jamie Carragher during a guest appearance on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football programme last month.

Jamie, 44, teased Wayne after he noticed he was wearing the same suit, shirt and tie combination as when he was inducted into the Premier League’s Hall of Fame two weeks ago.

He jibed: “Was he inducted today?”

Presenter David Jones asked: ‘What, because of the suit?’

And going red-faced, Wayne responded: ‘Do you know what? There’s a reason behind that. Obviously, over the last year, I’ve put a little bit of weight on.

‘So it’s actually the only suit what’ll fit me at the minute — I’ve got to get the most out of it.’

Back in 2017, wife Coleen lifted the lid on her husband’s eating habits and defended claims that the former England captain was a fast-food junkie.

She said: ‘They all think Wayne’s a big fat person and eats burgers every day, which he’s not, and I don’t know where they get it from,’ protested Coleen according to Sportskeeda.

‘It does my head in because people really believe that. His favourite food is lettuce. He loves salad.’

Wayne’s appearance comes after Coleen gave fans a rare glimpse at their huge swimming pool and jacuzzi inside her £20m Cheshire mansion last week.

The WAG, 36, took to Instagram to show a slew of snaps of her sons, Kai, 12, Klay, eight, Kit, six and Cass, four in their Missoni swimwear in front of the indoor pool.

In the background of the shots, the massive pool could be seen with an attached jacuzzi made out of white marble and housed in a glass pavilion.

Captioning the string of photos, the mum-of-four wrote: ‘Lovely Easter weekend with the family. Love the kids outfits.’

Coleen and husband Wayne recently moved into the multimillion pound home, which has been dubbed ‘Morrison’s Mansion’ due to its similarity to the supermarket chain.

The ex-Premier League star’s pad boasts an incredible array of facilities, including an orangery, bar, TV room, snooker room, cinema and wine cellar.

The ground floor houses the indoor swimming pool and hot tub as well as a plunge pool and steam room.

Guests will be able to opt for ‘his’ or ‘hers’ changing rooms, and after a dip they can pop outside to the extensive patio and landscaped gardens.

There is also a large garage for the former Manchester United star’s fleet of sports cars, as well as a stable block.

In order to avoid the social faux pas of using the couple’s own downstairs loo, there is a ‘guest toilet’ too and even separate lifts – one for the family, the other for visitors.

Upstairs has six bedrooms, all with en-suites, with the master bedroom also boasting a dressing room.

The property has two floors as well as a subterranean basement, which is home to the steam room, plunge pool, hot tub, gym, cinema room with ten seats, wine cellar and snooker room with bar.

The plush garage has room for six cars and the stables have room for 14 horses plus a hay store and a tack room.

There is also Wayne’s dream mini-football stadium with managers’ dugouts, changing rooms and even an area for spectators, with an artificial pitch measuring up to 60,000 sq ft in its expansive 40 acres of grounds.

The entire space is said to be temperature and light controlled by the touch of button.

Plans for the mansion have been five years in the making before the plot was bought by the Rooneys in 2017 with work beginning later that year.

The surrounding villages in Cheshire are popular with players from Manchester City and Manchester United, including Raheem Sterling, John Stones and Kyle Walker, Harry Maguire, Marcus Rashford, and Luke Shaw, as well as Liverpool and Everton players Jordan Pickford and Jordan Henderson.

The area, known as Cheshire’s Golden Triangle, was also formally home to David and Victoria Beckham, Rio Ferdinand and Cristiano Ronaldo.
