Chilling fake propaganda video shows Iranian missile blowing up US Capitol in a fireball

The chilling footage shows the US Capitol exploding in a fireball as a missile ‘launched’ by Iran strikes the heart of the American Government. The footage is accompanied by pro-Government music and features clips of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard marching in front of Iran’s Supreme leader Ali Khameini. The video also shows Iran ‘liberating’ Jerusalem in a blow to Israel, Iran’s fiercest enemy in the region.

The Islamic Republic’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) broadcast the video on Iran’s state-run television on Sunday ahead of a speech to the nation by Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

The video starts by showing marching Revolutionary Guards while the next shot depicts a missile being launched, moments later – US Capitol is engulfed in a fiery inferno.

According to Kasra Aarabi, an analyst at the Tony Blair Institute, the music playing in the background of the video is a nationalistic song and is used as propaganda in Iran.

The lyrics to the song describe the Capitol as a ‘palace of oppression’ which was ‘destroyed by the Alavi (Imam Ali’s) IRGC, and the good news of the liberation of Quds (Jerusalem) arrives from Iran.’

Responding to the shocking footage US Senator Pat Toomey issued a stark warning.

The Senator said: Last week, Iran’s chief diplomat allegedly admitted the IRGC calls the shots in Tehran. Now, Iran releases a fake video of the IRGC blowing up our Capitol.

“The Biden admin’s priority should be ensuring Iran cannot carry out such an attack, not capitulating by removing sanctions.”

After the video was broadcast Iran’s supreme leader on Sunday criticized the country’s foreign minister who reportedly said in a leaked interview that the elite Revolutionary Guards had more influence in foreign affairs and Tehran’s nuclear dossier than he did.

The debt is in relation to a tank order made by the Shah in the 1970s for a number of British Chieftain tanks, but Britain never delivered them.

British-Iranian national Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, who has been in jail in Iran and now been given a new prolonged sentence, believes she was imprisoned as leverage for the historic debt but Boris Johnson does not believe this is the case.

Mr McDonald explained: “Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe wasn’t even born when the debt was incurred but the Iranians have established a link.

“We reject that and I think it’s clear why but debt still needs to be solved so each of these things needs to be dealt with on its own merits and that is what we’re doing.”
