Blake Lively is set to make her feature film directorial debut in adaptation of best selling graphic novel Seconds

Blake Lively has signed on to make her feature film directorial debut with Seconds.

The 34-year-old will helm the big screen adaptation of the best selling 2014 graphic novel by Bryan Lee O’Malley, creator of the Scott Pilgrim series. 

The movie tells the story of Katie Clay, a head chef at a prospering restaurant named Seconds who mysteriously obtains the ability to fix her past mistakes by writing them down in a notebook, eating a mushroom, and falling asleep.

Unfortunately, Katy becomes too eager to fix every little aspect of her life and before long, her newfound ability begins to create more problems that threaten to take her further and further from the life she initially had.

Her actions also threaten the very fabric of time and space itself. 

The former Gossip Girl made her directorial debut last year, calling the shots on the music video for Taylor Swift’s ‘I Bet You Think About Me,’ which featured singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton.

The finished produced earned the Rhythm Section star nominations for the 2022 Academy Country Music Awards in directing and producing.

The Age of Adeline actress has been able to learn from some of the best directors in the business, including Ben Affleck on The Town, Rebecca Miller for The Private Lives of Pippa Lee and Oliver Stone for Savages. 

The Los Angeles native comes from an entertainment industry family. Her father, Ernie, has worked for decades as a character actor and mother, Elaine, worked as a talent manager. 

Blake got her first big break in The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants when she was still in high school.  She has gone on to gain acclaim for chameleon like ability to inhabit a variety of roles.

The blonde beauty has also earned a name in the beauty business, representing brands such as L’Oreal and Gucci. 

The 2022 Met Gala co-host married her Green Hornet co-star, actor Ryan Reynolds, in 2012 and they are the parents to three daughters; James,7, Inez, 5, and Betty, 2.
