For decades, conspiracy theorists have been pondering the existence of the “green men” but now Barack Obama has given credence to some theories. Speaking on The Late Late show with James Corden on Monday, the former president offered great insight into the ever persistent question of aliens and whether the Government was covering it up.
He said: “When it comes to aliens, there are some things I just can’t tell you on air.
“The truth is that when I came into office I asked.
“I was like, ‘All right, is there the lab somewhere where we’re keeping the alien specimens and spaceships?’
“They did a little bit of research …. and the answer was ‘No’.”
The topic has become somewhat of a joke in popular culture with movies and television shows such as Independence Day and The X Files riffing on the idea of extraterrestrial alien life.
Although Mr Obama categorically debunked the idea of Government interference, he did hint at the idea that there may be more to some theories.
Over the years many videos have come to light showing strange and unexplainable aerial phenomena from lights to physical “space ships”.
Changing tone from the show’s comedic atmosphere and putting on a more serious demeanor, the former president confirmed that there were things that even the government could not explain.

The former president has previously discussed the conspiracy with Stephen Colbert but played it off, saying: “Can’t tell you, sorry.”
On June 1, a report compiled by the Pentagon Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force (UAPTF) will share all current material the US military has about UFO sightings.
Former President Donald Trump ordered the Department of Defence to declassify information on ‘unidentified aerial phenomena’ last December, which was included in his second Covid relief bill.
