Alan Jones was angry that Joe Biden’s constant public gaffes sent a bad message to the free world’s enemies as he questioned the ability of the US head of state to lead the free world effectively. Mr Jones shared several clips which saw Mr Biden embarrassingly claim he was in the US Senate for 180 years as the president adds to his long list of bloopers. The political commentator concluded that Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping would be “laughing” at Mr Biden who he says could not find his way home “after dark”.
Speaking during his late-night show on Sky News Australia, Mr Jones expressed deep concern that Mr Biden may not be mentally strong for the role of US president.
Mr Jones shared a clip where Mr Biden claimed he was in the Senate for 180 years back in September 2020.
The show host added: “God, Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin must be watching these press conferences laughing at their good fortune.
“Certainly the world’s greatest power is in the hands of a slightly dazed bloke who looks like he’s always waking up from heavy anaesthesia.”
Clips were then shown of Mr Biden bizarrely whispering during a press conference on jobs and US welfare where he repeatedly whispered down the microphone to reporters.
The strange display was picked up by critics and supporters alike who ridiculed the president.
Mr Jones said: “The disturbing thing here is that the free world depends on the United States as the unfree world gains momentum.
“The free world is run by a bloke who probably couldn’t find his way after dark.”
Former President Donald Trump boasted at length about passing a cognitive test in 2020 and said he “aced” the examination.
But while he claimed it shows he has a “high IQ”, the test is mainly used to see whether someone has dementia or not by testing their short-term memory.
Mr Biden has faced calls from 14 Republicans to take a cognitive test as they grow concerned over whether he is mentally up for the job.
A health assessment from experts at The George Washington University in 2019 classed the President as “healthy” and “vigorous.”
