After Mr Morrison said he hopes to do more televised debates with Mr Albanese following the Labor leader’s recovery from Covid, Sandilands offered a solution.

‘Well if you can’t do TV, we’ll do a radio debate here. We’ll call it the Mass Debate. And we’ll have you both on,’ he said.

Mr Morrison, 53, responded by saying ‘not touching that!’ before Sandilands burst into laughter and admitted he should have kept his ‘mouth shut’.

Friday’s show also saw Sandilands’ co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson reveal she would love to be a contributor for Sky News Australia one day.

She said she was addicted to Sky’s election coverage and believes she’ll be ready to appear on the network once she’s learned more about politics in a year or two.

‘You’re full political. You will leave here and get a job at Sky News, I feel,’ Sandilands said.
