In addition to starring in the feature, the actress will serve as one of its producers.
Cast members for the forthcoming movie include Pamela Anderson, Luis Guzman and Sky Ferreira.
Paris Hilton and Winnie Harlow are set to appear as themselves, and Benson’s boyfriend, G-Eazy, will be featured in the film.
G-Eazy, 32, composed the score for the upcoming movie.
The feature was directed by Jimmy Giannopolous, whose directorial debut, The Birthday Cake, also starred Benson.
The filmmaker previously spoke to Deadline to express that the film’s team was looking to work on a project that reflected the widespread tension regarding the global pandemic.
‘After deciding to shoot this film in the middle of the pandemic, we wanted to make something that would be fun but still a terrifying slasher for audiences during these tough times,’ he stated.
The filmmaker went on to express that 18 & Over would deal with various topics that became widely discussed during the early stages of quarantine.
He noted that the film would be ‘relevant to today’s issues of a global pandemic, reality shows, isolation, Only Fans, and obsession.’
