Ashlee Simpson is a doting mother as she stays close to her daughter Jagger, six, during a grocery store run in Los Angeles


Ashlee Simpson was seen spending time with her daughter Jagger during a grocery store outing in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The 37-year-old singer stayed close to her second child on their stroll, and she also kept her phone close while making her way along the city’s streets.

The performer shares her daughter, aged six, as well as a son named Ziggy Blu, one, with her husband of several years, Evan Ross.

Simpson sported a sizable black overcoat on top of a contrasting striped white button-up shirt during her outing.

The Pieces of Me singer also rocked a set of wide-fitting pants and a pair of shoes that matched the dark color of her outerwear.

She accessorized with a set of gold earrings and kept a sizable bag slung over her left arm, and her gorgeous blonde locks were tied back into a tight bun.

The singer was also seen behind a grocery cart, and she rocked a stylish set of sunglasses and a black t-shirt underneath her button-up.

Simpson and her husband were first seen together in 2013.

Before she became involved with the actor, 33, the performer was married to Fall Out Boy bass player Pete Wentz.

The two tied the knot in 2008 and went on to welcome a son named Bronx, aged 13, later that year.

The former couple remained together for three more years until they formally dissolved their union in 2011.

Simpson and Wentz have remained on friendly terms ever since their split and co-parent their child.

The singer eventually moved on with Ross, and they became engaged in 2014 after just a year of dating.

The two held their wedding ceremony that same year and welcomed Jagger into their lives in 2015.

The happy couple waited for five years before expanding their family with Ziggy Blu.

Simpson and Ross spoke about co-parenting with Wentz during an interview with Us Weekly, and he expressed that he and his wife felt grateful to remain friends with the bassist and his longtime partner, Meagan Camper.

‘I think the fact that there is a lot of respect amongst all of us. That makes it easier. And we’re all really close friends. It’s easy, we got really lucky with that,’ he said.

The singer also pointed out that she ‘lucked out’ in terms of her close relationship with her former husband.
