Arizona man robs bank for single $100 bill, wanted to be arrested

An Arizona man got what he wanted when he was arrested for robbing a bank for a single $100 bill in the hopes of getting arrested as he feared for his life as a former gang member, according to local reports.

Eduardo Bulerin walked into First Bank in Goodyear on Sept. 15, where he handed a note to the teller demanding money, according to court documents obtained by Fox 10.

She handed him $100, and within 15 minutes police arrived and apprehended him.

Eduardo Bulerin had been attempting to get arrested that day, according to the report.

He later told police that had been his intention, and that he had been trying to get arrested all day so he could get off of the streets.

He was arrested and charged with robbery.
