The presenter voiced: ‘He’s not feeling ill but I tell you what, he’s got Lauren running up and down stairs for him. She’s running baths and flipping chopping lemons. I’m like ‘flipping heck!’, he’s milking it!’

Amanda said: ‘Now, I have to say, I think he’s been very lucky because obviously this has been going on for nearly [two] years now and Simon’s never, ever had it.

‘Maybe he picked it up when he had his arm put in plaster, because he had to go to hospital for that. So maybe that’s when he picked it up,’ she added.

All good: Amanda explained:'But honestly he seems in really good spirits and so far is still very well, so we're just sending him loads of love'

The music mogul, 62, told MailOnline he was ‘a bit of a nutter’ having narrowly avoided serious injury during the crash, when he wasn’t wearing a helmet.

Simon exclusively told MailOnline: ‘I’m OK. I’m feeling much better thank you. It happened just round the corner.’

He admitted: ‘I’m a bit of a nutter. I’ll definitely wear a helmet next time.’
