  • The advice came after a mum shared that the ‘refreshing’ flavour is her favourite

  • She has tried many flavours but the boysenberry flavour came out on top

An Aldi shopper is raving about an ‘extremely refreshing’ boysenberry ice-cream – but the tasty buy is so popular it is a rare find.

The Silverscoop boysenberry flavour is flying off shelves after foodies raved about it on Facebook and complained about how difficult it was to get their hands on one of the $4.99 tubs.

‘I’ve stopped in between eating my ice cream bowl to type this,’ the woman wrote. ‘I’ve started eating more ice-cream to cope with a loss of a parent and I basically substitute caffeine with ice-cream at night time.

‘I’ve explored all ice-cream in these last two months and I tried this boysenberry flavour and added tinned fruit salad, and oh my heavens. How very refreshing.’

Aldi fans expressed their shared love for the ice-cream flavour in the comments section and many warned that the product will not be in stock for long.

‘We get that one all the time too! It’s a new favourite in our house now,’ one mum said, whilst another agreed ‘the boysenberry ice cream is absolutely delicious.’

Aldi staff answers shoppers burning Aldi questions

1. Why doesn’t Aldi supply scales in the fruit and vegetables section to weigh produce?

Aldi stores are not big and have to be careful how everything is laid out, the scales would take up a lot of space

2. What happens to the ‘Special Buys’ that are leftover?

Each store orders its own quantities of Special Buys products and has a ‘responsibility to sell it’

The products that aren’t sold get cycled on and off the floor and will eventually be put on clearance or transferred to a different store

3. Why do you scan so fast?

Staff have said it’s ‘fun’ and the staff are timed, however the major reason is Aldi staffs few employees and each employee has many tasks to complete so they need to move fast

4. How many staff work on the floor at Aldi?

A maximum of four to five staff work at a time. One cashier works on the till and others are called up as needed

5. Why does Aldi not employ many staff?

It allows the company to lower prices, and keep staff on a higher wage making employees happy and giving the company better staff retention

‘Love the Aldi ice cream tubs but they have been sold out in my local,’ one customer said.

‘I agree, one of my favourites as well, although it’s very hard to get your hands on a tub,’ another woman said.

‘I just rushed to Aldi before it closed to get some and it was all gone,’ a disappointed customer commented.

‘Every time we go there they don’t have it,’ one mum said, ‘me too…every week for at least the last month,’ another agreed.

The mum also recommended the ‘heavenly’ Weiss mango bars which cost $5.40 for six.

She explained Coles stocks their own version of the bars but they are more expensive.

‘I tried both brands side by side for comparison. They were almost the same the first time. The second time Aldi tasted better. Definitely recommend,’ she said.
