He’s the hunky AFL star whose trademark blonde mullet has long divided fans.

And on Saturday, Western Bulldogs star Bailey Smith described his ‘do as ‘ridiculous’ as he fronted a fashion campaign for Cotton On.

The 21-year-old, who has been appointed the first-ever menswear ambassador for the Aussie brand, said in a video: ‘It is a bit, I don’t know, all over the shop at the minute.

‘I am just growing it out. I’ve been growing it for like three years. I know it is a bit ridiculous but it is getting there.’

Bailey also admitted he would be up for making a move to the big screen should he be offered acting opportunities in future. 

‘I am a massive fan of Chris Hemsworth so Thor, maybe,’ he said when asked what character he would play on-screen.

The collaboration will put Bailey’s quintessential laid-back, low-key, confident style under the spotlight as he personifies the latest men’s collection from Cotton On.

Dom Ralton, General Manager for Cotton On Menswear, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership with the AFL superstar as the clothing company released a series of promotional images to correspond with the announcement.

‘We are thrilled to welcome Bailey to the Cotton On family as our first brand ambassador for Menswear,’ Mr Ralton began.

‘Onboarding Bailey as the face of [the] Menswear brand was a natural fit, as he encompasses our brand values, representing our key customer base.

‘We are so excited to see the partnership come to life.’

Smith recently shocked fans when he announced he was taking an ‘indefinite leave’ from AFL to focus on his mental health.

And in the week before Christmas, he shared cryptic photos on Instagram of himself in his Bulldogs guernsey, with fans left wondering what it could mean for his playing future and his mental health struggles

However, on Christmas Eve, Smith appeared happy as he partied with his friends and teammates on the Gold Coast.
